Ingredients

  • 225g all-purpose flour
  • 100g ground almonds
  • 150g unsalted butter, softened
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • 300g raspberry jam
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar

Directions

  1. 1Cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then mix in egg yolk, cinnamon, and cloves.
  2. 2Combine flour and ground almonds in a separate bowl, then fold into the butter mixture until a dough forms.
  3. 3Press two-thirds of the dough into a 9-inch tart pan, spread raspberry jam evenly over the base.
  4. 4Roll out remaining dough and cut into strips, then arrange in a lattice pattern over the jam.
  5. 5Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35-40 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
  6. 6Cool completely in the pan, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
