Loukoumades
Golden, fluffy Greek honey puffs that are crispy on the outside and soft inside, drizzled with warm honey and sprinkled with cinnamon.

Ingredients
- •2 cups all-purpose flour
- •1 teaspoon salt
- •2 teaspoons instant yeast
- •1 cup warm water
- •1 tablespoon sugar
- •2 tablespoons olive oil
- •vegetable oil for frying
- •3/4 cup honey
- •1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- •1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
- 1Mix flour and salt in a large bowl. In another bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water, then let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
- 2Pour yeast mixture into flour, add olive oil, and mix until a thick, sticky batter forms. Cover and let rise for 20 minutes.
- 3Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
- 4Using two wet spoons, drop rounded spoonfuls of batter into hot oil, frying 2-3 loukoumades at a time for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- 5Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 6While still warm, drizzle each loukoumade generously with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon and chopped walnuts.
- 7Serve immediately while warm and crispy.
