Ingredients
- •1 pound ground pork
- •2 cups shredded cabbage
- •1 cup shredded carrots
- •4 cloves garlic, minced
- •2 tablespoons soy sauce
- •1 teaspoon salt
- •1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- •20 sheets lumpia wrappers
- •2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with water
- •2 cups vegetable oil for frying
Directions
- 1Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large pan over medium-high heat, then cook minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 2Add ground pork and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3Stir in cabbage, carrots, soy sauce, salt, and pepper, then cook for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are slightly softened; let cool completely.
- 4Place 2 tablespoons filling on each lumpia wrapper near the bottom, fold sides inward, roll tightly, and seal the edge with cornstarch paste.
- 5Heat 2 cups oil in a deep pan to 350°F and fry lumpia in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- 6Drain on paper towels and serve hot with sweet and sour sauce or banana ketchup.
