Maple Cookies

Ingredients
- •1/2 cup butter, softened
- •3/4 cup maple syrup
- •1 egg
- •1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- •2 cups all-purpose flour
- •1 teaspoon baking powder
- •1/2 teaspoon salt
- •1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- •1/4 cup powdered sugar
Directions
- 1Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- 2Cream together softened butter and maple syrup until well combined, then beat in egg and vanilla extract.
- 3In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- 4Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- 5Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- 6Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- 7Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- 8Dust cooled cookies with powdered sugar if desired.
