Ingredients
- •250g paneer cheese, cubed
- •2 cups fresh or frozen peas
- •3 medium tomatoes, chopped
- •1 medium onion, finely chopped
- •3 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- •3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- •1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- •1 teaspoon garam masala
- •1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- •1/2 cup heavy cream or yogurt
- •1 teaspoon salt
Directions
- 1Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat and add cumin seeds until they splutter, then add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
- 2Add minced garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 3Add chopped tomatoes along with turmeric powder and garam masala, stirring well and cooking for 5-7 minutes until tomatoes break down into a paste.
- 4Stir in the cream or yogurt and mix until well combined, then add salt to taste.
- 5Gently add the paneer cubes and frozen peas to the sauce, stirring carefully to coat everything evenly.
- 6Reduce heat to low and simmer for 8-10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the peas to cook through without breaking the paneer.
