Methi Chicken

Ingredients
- •750g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- •2 cups fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves, chopped
- •2 medium onions, finely sliced
- •3 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- •2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- •3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- •1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- •1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- •1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- •1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- •1/2 cup yogurt
- •to taste salt
Directions
- 1Heat oil in a large pan and add cumin seeds; let them splutter for 30 seconds.
- 2Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- 3Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- 4Add chicken pieces and cook on high heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 5Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt; cook for 5 minutes until tomatoes soften.
- 6Stir in yogurt and garam masala powder, then add the chopped methi leaves and mix well.
- 7Reduce heat to medium, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until chicken is cooked through and methi is tender.
- 8Adjust seasoning and serve hot with rice or Indian bread.
