Ingredients

  • 8 oz dried chow mein noodles
  • 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper

Directions

  1. 1Cook chow mein noodles according to package directions, drain and set aside.
  2. 2Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat, cook chicken until golden, then remove.
  3. 3Add remaining oil and stir-fry garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. 4Add cabbage, carrots, and mushrooms, stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. 5Return chicken to the wok with noodles, pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and white pepper.
  6. 6Toss everything together over high heat for 2-3 minutes until well combined and heated through.
  7. 7Top with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
