Ingredients
- •4 thin-cut beef steaks or chicken breasts (about 4 oz each)
- •1 cup all-purpose flour
- •2 eggs
- •1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- •1 teaspoon salt
- •½ teaspoon black pepper
- •½ teaspoon garlic powder
- •2 cups vegetable oil for frying
- •1 lime
Directions
- 1Place meat between plastic wrap and pound with a meat mallet until thin and even.
- 2Set up three shallow bowls with flour mixed with salt, pepper, and garlic powder in the first; beaten eggs in the second; and breadcrumbs in the third.
- 3Coat each piece of meat in flour, shaking off excess, then dip in egg, and finally coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
- 4Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 5Carefully place breaded meat in hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- 7Serve hot with lime wedges and your choice of sides like rice, beans, or salad.
