Ingredients

  • •1 package frozen mini phyllo cups or puff pastry cups
  • •6 large eggs
  • •1/2 cup heavy cream
  • •1/2 cup whole milk
  • •1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • •6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • •1/4 cup diced onion
  • •1/4 teaspoon salt
  • •1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • •1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 375°F and place frozen pastry cups on a baking sheet.
  2. 2Whisk together eggs, cream, and milk in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. 3Stir in cheese, bacon, onion, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  4. 4Carefully pour egg mixture into each pastry cup, filling about three-quarters full.
  5. 5Bake for 18-20 minutes until filling is set and tops are lightly golden.
  6. 6Cool for 2 minutes before serving warm.

💡 Mini quiche cups set quickly. Pull them when centres are just firm because small custards become rubbery after only a few extra minutes.
