Miso Soup
A silky, savory Japanese soup with tofu and seaweed that's deeply comforting and ready in minutes.

Ingredients
- •4 cups water or dashi stock
- •3 tablespoons miso paste
- •1 block silken tofu, cubed
- •2 sheets nori seaweed, cut into strips
- •3 stalks green onion, sliced
- •2 tablespoons wakame seaweed, dried
- •1 teaspoon sesame oil
- •to taste salt and white pepper
Directions
- 1Bring water or dashi stock to a simmer in a large pot over medium heat.
- 2Add wakame seaweed and cook for 2 minutes until softened.
- 3In a small bowl, dissolve miso paste with a ladle of hot broth, then stir the mixture back into the pot.
- 4Gently add tofu cubes and simmer for 3-4 minutes without boiling.
- 5Remove from heat and stir in sesame oil.
- 6Ladle into bowls and top with nori strips and green onion. Serve immediately.
