Mussels in White Wine Garlic Sauce
Tender mussels steamed in a fragrant white wine and garlic broth, perfect served over crusty bread.

Ingredients
- •2 lbs fresh mussels, cleaned and debearded
- •3 tablespoons butter
- •6 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 cup dry white wine
- •1/2 cup chicken or seafood broth
- •1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- •1/2 lemon, juiced
- •1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- •to taste salt and black pepper
Directions
- 1Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- 2Pour in white wine and broth, bringing to a simmer.
- 3Add the cleaned mussels to the pot, cover, and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shells open.
- 4Discard any mussels that did not open.
- 5Stir in lemon juice, red pepper flakes, and most of the fresh parsley; season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 6Serve immediately in bowls with the broth, garnished with remaining parsley and crusty bread on the side.
