Orange Cake

Ingredients
- •2 cups all-purpose flour
- •1.5 teaspoons baking powder
- •0.5 teaspoon salt
- •1/2 cup butter, softened
- •1 cup granulated sugar
- •2 large eggs
- •1 cup fresh orange juice
- •2 tablespoons orange zest
- •1/2 cup powdered sugar
- •2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Directions
- 1Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- 2Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- 3Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in eggs one at a time, followed by orange zest.
- 4Alternate adding flour mixture and orange juice to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with flour.
- 5Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- 6Cool cake in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- 7Whisk together powdered sugar and lemon juice to make a glaze, then drizzle over cooled cake.
