Pan-Seared Pork Chops with Apple Sauce

Ingredients
- •4 bone-in pork chops (1 inch thick)
- •1 teaspoon salt
- •1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- •2 tablespoons olive oil
- •3 medium apples, peeled and diced
- •1/4 cup water
- •2 tablespoons butter
- •2 tablespoons brown sugar
- •1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- •1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions
- 1Season both sides of pork chops with salt and pepper.
- 2Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 3Sear pork chops for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 145°F). Transfer to a plate.
- 4In the same skillet, melt butter and add diced apples, water, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- 5Simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are soft and sauce thickens.
- 6Stir in lemon juice and return pork chops to the skillet for 1 minute.
- 7Serve pork chops topped with warm apple sauce.
