⏱ 45 minServes 4Indian

Ingredients

  • 400g paneer cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons oil or ghee
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 400g canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Directions

  1. 1Mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, cumin powder, paprika, and salt in a bowl. Add paneer cubes and marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. 2Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add paneer cubes and cook until golden on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. 3In the same skillet, add minced garlic and diced onion, sauté until onions are translucent, about 4 minutes.
  4. 4Add crushed tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. 5Stir in heavy cream and garam masala, then gently add the cooked paneer cubes back into the sauce.
  6. 6Simmer on low heat for 8-10 minutes until the sauce thickens and paneer absorbs the flavors.
  7. 7Taste and adjust salt and spices as needed. Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
