Ingredients
- •2 cups fresh or frozen peaches, peeled and chopped (about 3 medium peaches)
- •1/2 cup ketchup
- •3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- •2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
- •1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- •1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- •1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- •1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions
- 1Combine the peaches, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- 2Stir in the smoked paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper until everything is evenly mixed.
- 3Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peaches are completely soft and the sauce has thickened slightly.
- 4Remove the pan from heat and let the sauce cool for 5 minutes, then carefully transfer it to a blender.
- 5Blend on high until completely smooth, about 30 seconds. Return the sauce to the pan and simmer over low heat for an additional 5 minutes to reach your desired consistency.
- 6Taste and adjust seasoning with additional brown sugar for sweetness or vinegar for tang. Remove from heat and let cool before storing.
- 7Transfer to an airtight jar or container. Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
💡 If using frozen peaches, thaw them first and drain off excess liquid so the sauce doesn't turn out too thin.
