Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 6 cups fresh or frozen peaches, sliced
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons cold butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup whole milk

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, combine peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, vanilla, and cinnamon. Pour mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. 2In another bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. 3Stir milk into the flour mixture until just combined; do not overmix. Drop spoonfuls of batter over the peach mixture.
  4. 4Bake for 40-45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and peaches are bubbling around the edges.
  5. 5Cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
