Peanut Butter Banana Protein Shake
A thick, creamy shake that genuinely tastes like a dessert but delivers serious protein — frozen banana, natural peanut butter, Greek yogurt, and your milk of choice blended into something that keeps you full for hours.
⏱ 5 minServes 1American
Ingredients
- •1 large ripe banana, sliced and frozen
- •2 tbsp natural peanut butter
- •1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- •3/4 cup milk (dairy or oat)
- •1 tsp honey or maple syrup
- •1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- •1 tbsp ground flaxseed (optional)
- •1/2 cup ice cubes (if banana isn't frozen)
Directions
- 1Add milk to the blender first, then add Greek yogurt.
- 2Add the frozen banana slices, peanut butter, honey, vanilla, and flaxseed if using.
- 3Blend on high for 45–60 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
- 4Check the thickness — add more milk for a thinner shake or a few ice cubes for a thicker one.
- 5Pour into a glass and drink immediately for best texture.
💡 Freezing your bananas is the most important step — it creates a thick, ice-cream-like texture without needing ice (which dilutes flavour). Peel and freeze ripe, spotty bananas in a zip-lock bag so you always have some on hand. For an extra protein boost, add a scoop of unflavoured or vanilla protein powder. Swap peanut butter for almond butter if preferred — both work perfectly.
