Peanut Butter Banana Protein Shake

Peanut Butter Banana Protein Shake

A thick, creamy shake that genuinely tastes like a dessert but delivers serious protein — frozen banana, natural peanut butter, Greek yogurt, and your milk of choice blended into something that keeps you full for hours.

⏱ 5 minServes 1American

Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe banana, sliced and frozen
  • 2 tbsp natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup milk (dairy or oat)
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed (optional)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes (if banana isn't frozen)

Directions

  1. 1Add milk to the blender first, then add Greek yogurt.
  2. 2Add the frozen banana slices, peanut butter, honey, vanilla, and flaxseed if using.
  3. 3Blend on high for 45–60 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
  4. 4Check the thickness — add more milk for a thinner shake or a few ice cubes for a thicker one.
  5. 5Pour into a glass and drink immediately for best texture.

💡 Freezing your bananas is the most important step — it creates a thick, ice-cream-like texture without needing ice (which dilutes flavour). Peel and freeze ripe, spotty bananas in a zip-lock bag so you always have some on hand. For an extra protein boost, add a scoop of unflavoured or vanilla protein powder. Swap peanut butter for almond butter if preferred — both work perfectly.
