Philly Cheesesteak
Thinly sliced beef with melted cheese and sautéed peppers and onions piled onto a soft hoagie roll.

Ingredients
- •1 lb thinly sliced beef ribeye or sirloin
- •2 hoagie rolls
- •8 slices provolone or Cheez Whiz
- •1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
- •1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- •2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- •1 teaspoon salt
- •1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- 1Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add onions and peppers, cook 4-5 minutes until softened. Season with salt and pepper, transfer to a plate.
- 2Add remaining oil to the skillet and heat until very hot. Add beef in a single layer and cook 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until browned.
- 3Return vegetables to the skillet and mix with beef. Cook 1 minute to combine.
- 4Place cheese slices on top of the beef mixture and cover with a lid or foil for 1-2 minutes until melted.
- 5Toast hoagie rolls lightly if desired. Divide the beef and cheese mixture evenly between the two rolls and serve immediately.
