Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

Directions

  1. 1Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt, then add warm milk, yogurt, oil, and egg to form a soft dough.
  2. 2Knead 5 minutes, cover, and let the dough rise for 45 minutes until slightly puffed.
  3. 3Mix feta and parsley together for the filling.
  4. 4Divide dough into sixteen pieces, flatten each, add filling, and pinch the edges closed into smooth buns.
  5. 5Brush with egg yolk, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and arrange on a lined baking sheet.
  6. 6Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18–20 minutes until the tops are deeply golden.

💡 Do not overfill the buns; a modest spoonful of feta lets the seam close securely and keeps the cheese inside during baking.
