Ingredients
- •4 cups all-purpose flour
- •2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
- •1 tbsp granulated sugar
- •1 tsp salt
- •1 cup warm milk
- •1/2 cup plain yogurt
- •1/3 cup vegetable oil
- •1 egg
- •1 1/2 cups feta cheese, crumbled
- •1/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- •1 egg yolk
- •2 tbsp sesame seeds
Directions
- 1Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt, then add warm milk, yogurt, oil, and egg to form a soft dough.
- 2Knead 5 minutes, cover, and let the dough rise for 45 minutes until slightly puffed.
- 3Mix feta and parsley together for the filling.
- 4Divide dough into sixteen pieces, flatten each, add filling, and pinch the edges closed into smooth buns.
- 5Brush with egg yolk, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and arrange on a lined baking sheet.
- 6Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18–20 minutes until the tops are deeply golden.
💡 Do not overfill the buns; a modest spoonful of feta lets the seam close securely and keeps the cheese inside during baking.
