Pork and Chive Dumplings

Tender, pleated dumplings filled with seasoned ground pork and fresh chives, pan-fried until golden and crispy.

Ingredients

  • 24 round dumpling wrappers
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for pan-frying
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. 1Mix ground pork, chopped chives, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic in a bowl until well combined.
  2. 2Place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper, wet the edges with water, fold in half, then pleat the edges to seal.
  3. 3Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. 4Place dumplings in a single layer in the hot skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until bottoms are golden.
  5. 5Add water to the skillet, cover immediately, and steam for 5-6 minutes until liquid is mostly absorbed.
  6. 6Remove lid and cook for another 1-2 minutes until bottoms are crispy again.
  7. 7Serve hot with soy sauce or chili oil for dipping.
