Pork and Shrimp Wontons

Delicate crispy parcels filled with savory pork and shrimp, perfect for steaming or pan-frying.

Ingredients

  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/4 lb shrimp, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp green onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • water for sealing

Directions

  1. 1Mix pork, shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, green onion, ginger, and cornstarch in a bowl.
  2. 2Place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. 3Wet the edges with water, fold in half diagonally, then bring the two corners together and seal.
  4. 4Bring a pot of water to boil and gently add wontons, cooking until they float and then 2 minutes more.
  5. 5Remove with a slotted spoon and serve hot with soy sauce or sweet and sour sauce for dipping.
