Prosciutto-Wrapped Figs

Sweet, tender figs wrapped in salty prosciutto and finished with a touch of balsamic glaze and creamy cheese.

Ingredients

  • 12 fresh figs
  • 6 slices prosciutto
  • 4 oz goat cheese or ricotta
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • pinch sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves

Directions

  1. 1Cut each prosciutto slice in half lengthwise to create 12 strips.
  2. 2Gently spread about 1 teaspoon of goat cheese into the center of each fig.
  3. 3Wrap each fig with a strip of prosciutto and arrange on a serving platter.
  4. 4Whisk together balsamic vinegar and honey, then drizzle over the wrapped figs.
  5. 5Drizzle lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with black pepper and sea salt.
  6. 6Tear fresh basil leaves and scatter over the figs, then serve immediately.
