Pulled Pork Sandwich

Ingredients
- •4-5 lbs pork shoulder (butt)
- •2 tablespoons brown sugar
- •1 tablespoon paprika
- •1 tablespoon garlic powder
- •1 tablespoon onion powder
- •1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- •1 cup barbecue sauce
- •1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- •8 sandwich buns
- •1 medium onion, sliced
Directions
- 1Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub seasoning.
- 2Rub the seasoning mixture all over the pork shoulder and place it in a slow cooker with sliced onions.
- 3Cook on low for 8 hours until the pork is very tender and shreds easily with a fork.
- 4Remove the pork and shred it using two forks, discarding any large fat pieces.
- 5Mix the shredded pork with barbecue sauce and apple cider vinegar, then return it to the slow cooker for 30 minutes on low to absorb the flavors.
- 6Toast the sandwich buns lightly and fill each with pulled pork.
