Ravioli with Marinara

Ingredients
- •1 pound fresh or frozen ravioli
- •2 tablespoons olive oil
- •4 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- •2 tablespoons tomato paste
- •1 teaspoon dried basil
- •1 teaspoon dried oregano
- •1/2 teaspoon salt
- •1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- •1 pinch sugar
- •1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- •1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
- 1Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 2Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1 minute, then add crushed tomatoes, dried basil, oregano, salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar.
- 3Simmer the marinara sauce for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until flavors meld and sauce thickens slightly.
- 4Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook ravioli according to package directions until they float and are tender, about 4-5 minutes.
- 5Drain ravioli gently and divide among serving bowls.
- 6Ladle warm marinara sauce over the ravioli, garnish with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese, and serve immediately.
