Ingredients
- •4 cups whole milk
- •2 tbsp salep powder
- •1/4 cup granulated sugar
- •1 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions
- 1Whisk salep powder and sugar together in a small bowl so the powder disperses evenly.
- 2Pour the milk into a saucepan and whisk in the salep-sugar mixture while the milk is still cold.
- 3Cook over medium-low heat, whisking constantly, until the drink begins to thicken.
- 4Continue cooking 5–7 minutes until it lightly coats the back of a spoon.
- 5Divide among warm mugs and dust each serving generously with cinnamon.
- 6Serve immediately while hot and silky.
💡 Mix the salep powder with sugar before adding it to milk; this helps prevent the fine powder from forming stubborn lumps.
