Ingredients

- •1 medium onion, diced
- •1/2 cup ketchup
- •2 tbsp brown sugar
- •1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- •1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- •1 tsp mustard powder
- •1/2 tsp salt
- •1/4 tsp black pepper
- •4 hamburger buns
Directions
- 1Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 5 minutes.
- 2Add the diced onion and cook for 2 minutes until softened.
- 3Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard powder, salt, and pepper.
- 4Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
- 5Toast the hamburger buns if desired, then spoon the meat mixture generously onto each bun and serve immediately.
