Slow Cooker Chili

Ingredients
- •2 lbs ground beef
- •1 large onion, diced
- •4 cloves garlic, minced
- •3 tbsp chili powder
- •1 tbsp cumin
- •2 cans (28 oz each) crushed tomatoes
- •2 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- •1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- •2 cups beef broth
- •2 tbsp tomato paste
- •1 tsp salt
- •1/2 tsp black pepper
Directions
- 1Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and transfer to the slow cooker.
- 2Add diced onion and minced garlic to the slow cooker with the beef.
- 3Stir in chili powder, cumin, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, and both beans.
- 4Season with salt and black pepper, then stir well to combine all ingredients.
- 5Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours, stirring occasionally if possible.
- 6Taste and adjust seasonings as needed before serving with toppings like sour cream, shredded cheese, or cornbread.
