Ingredients
- •2 lb ground turkey
- •1 onion, finely diced
- •2 carrots, finely diced
- •2 celery stalks, finely diced
- •4 cloves garlic, minced
- •2 tbsp tomato paste
- •2 cans (796 ml each) tomatoes, crushed
- •½ cup milk
- •1 tsp dried oregano
- •1 bay leaf
- •1 tsp kosher salt
- •½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
Directions
- 1Brown ground turkey in a large skillet, breaking it into fine crumbles.
- 2Add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic; cook until the vegetables begin to soften.
- 3Stir in tomato paste for 1 minute, then transfer everything to the slow cooker.
- 4Add crushed tomatoes, milk, oregano, bay leaf, and salt.
- 5Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours, stirring once if convenient.
- 6Remove the bay leaf, stir in Parmesan, and adjust the seasoning.
- 7Serve with freshly cooked pasta and freeze extra sauce in meal-size portions.
