Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cups vegetable oil for frying

Directions

  1. 1Mix pumpkin puree, flour, baking powder, salt, and melted butter into a soft dough.
  2. 2Rest the dough for 10 minutes.
  3. 3Roll the dough to 1/4 inch thick and cut into small rounds.
  4. 4Prick each round once with a fork.
  5. 5Fry at 350°F (175°C) for 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
  6. 6Drain on paper towel and serve warm.
