Sour Cream and Onion Dip

Ingredients
- •1 cup sour cream
- •1/2 cup mayonnaise
- •1 large yellow onion, finely diced
- •2 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
- •1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- •1/2 teaspoon salt
- •1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- •1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
- 1In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced onion in 1 tablespoon of butter for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and caramelized.
- 2Add minced garlic to the onions and cook for 1 minute until fragrant, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- 3In a bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.
- 4Fold in the caramelized onions and garlic, then stir in chives and parsley.
- 5Transfer to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving with chips or fresh vegetables.
