⏱ 180 minServes 12American

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup

Directions

  1. 1Mix warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon sugar; let sit 5 minutes until foamy. Add remaining sugar, melted butter, salt, and egg, then stir in flour until a soft dough forms.
  2. 2Knead dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1.5 hours until doubled.
  3. 3Spread softened butter over dough. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over butter. Roll up tightly from one long side and cut into 12 equal pieces.
  4. 4Combine corn syrup and butter in a saucepan, heat until melted, then stir in pecans. Pour mixture into greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
  5. 5Arrange dough rolls cut-side down over the pecan mixture. Cover and let rise 45 minutes until puffy.
  6. 6Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Immediately invert onto a serving platter so the sticky glaze coats the tops.
