⏱ 180 minServes 12American
Ingredients
- •1 cup whole milk, warmed
- •2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- •1/2 cup granulated sugar
- •4 tablespoons butter, melted
- •1 teaspoon salt
- •1 large egg
- •3 cups all-purpose flour
- •1 cup brown sugar, packed
- •2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- •1/2 cup butter, softened
- •1/2 cup chopped pecans
- •1/2 cup corn syrup
Directions
- 1Mix warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon sugar; let sit 5 minutes until foamy. Add remaining sugar, melted butter, salt, and egg, then stir in flour until a soft dough forms.
- 2Knead dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1.5 hours until doubled.
- 3Spread softened butter over dough. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over butter. Roll up tightly from one long side and cut into 12 equal pieces.
- 4Combine corn syrup and butter in a saucepan, heat until melted, then stir in pecans. Pour mixture into greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
- 5Arrange dough rolls cut-side down over the pecan mixture. Cover and let rise 45 minutes until puffy.
- 6Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Immediately invert onto a serving platter so the sticky glaze coats the tops.
