Stir-Fried Mushrooms with Garlic and Soy

Ingredients
- •1 lb mixed mushrooms, sliced
- •3 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- •3 tablespoons soy sauce
- •2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- •1 tablespoon sesame oil
- •2 green onions, chopped
- •1 teaspoon sugar
- •½ teaspoon white pepper
- •1 teaspoon cornstarch
- •¼ cup water
Directions
- 1Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat until shimmering.
- 2Add minced garlic and ginger, stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 3Add sliced mushrooms and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until they release their moisture and begin to brown.
- 4Mix cornstarch with water, then pour into the wok along with soy sauce, sugar, and white pepper.
- 5Stir continuously for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the mushrooms.
- 6Remove from heat and drizzle with sesame oil.
- 7Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately over steamed rice.
