Stir-Fried Squid with Garlic and Chili

Ingredients
- •1.5 lbs squid, cleaned and sliced into rings
- •4 cloves garlic, minced
- •2 red chilies, sliced
- •3 tbsp soy sauce
- •1 tbsp oyster sauce
- •1 tsp sesame oil
- •2 tbsp vegetable oil
- •1/2 cup sliced onion
- •1 cup sliced bell pepper
- •2 tbsp green onions, chopped
- •1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
Directions
- 1Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat until smoking.
- 2Add squid rings in batches and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until opaque, then remove and set aside.
- 3Add remaining oil, then sauté minced garlic and sliced chilies for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 4Add onion and bell pepper, stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
- 5Return squid to the wok and pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil; toss well.
- 6Add cornstarch slurry and stir for 1 minute until sauce thickens slightly.
- 7Garnish with green onions and serve immediately over steamed rice.
