Stir-Fried Water Spinach with Garlic

Ingredients

  • 1 lb water spinach, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced thin
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. 1Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat until shimmering.
  2. 2Add minced garlic and sliced garlic, stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. 3Add the water spinach pieces and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
  4. 4Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and water, stirring constantly.
  5. 5Add red pepper flakes and toss everything together for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. 6Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, then serve immediately while hot.
