Tandoori Naan

Ingredients
- •3 cups all-purpose flour
- •1 teaspoon salt
- •1/2 teaspoon sugar
- •1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- •1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- •2 tablespoons yogurt
- •1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- •3/4 cup warm water
- •2 tablespoons butter, melted
- •1 teaspoon tandoori masala spice blend
- •1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- •1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
Directions
- 1Mix flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda in a large bowl.
- 2Create a well in the center and add yogurt and oil, then gradually add warm water while mixing until a soft dough forms.
- 3Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic, then cover with a damp cloth and let rest for 1 hour.
- 4Divide dough into 8 equal portions and roll each into a ball, then flatten into oval shapes about 1/4-inch thick.
- 5Heat a cast-iron skillet or tawa over high heat until very hot.
- 6Place naan on the hot skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes until golden and charred.
- 7Brush cooked naan with melted butter mixed with tandoori masala and sprinkle with garlic powder and fresh cilantro.
- 8Serve hot and enjoy with curries or as a standalone bread.
