Teriyaki Salmon

Glazed salmon fillets with a sweet and savory Asian-inspired sauce that caramelizes beautifully in the oven.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange salmon fillets skin-side down.
  2. 2In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and cornstarch until combined.
  3. 3Brush the teriyaki glaze over the salmon fillets, reserving some for basting.
  4. 4Drizzle salmon with olive oil and bake for 12-15 minutes until cooked through and the glaze caramelizes.
  5. 5Remove from oven and brush with remaining glaze, then garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
