Three-Bean Chili
A hearty and flavorful chili loaded with three types of beans, tomatoes, and warming spices.

Ingredients
- •2 tablespoons olive oil
- •1 large onion, diced
- •3 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 pound ground beef
- •2 tablespoons chili powder
- •1 teaspoon cumin
- •1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- •1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- •1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
- •1 can (15 ounces) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- •1 cup beef broth
- •Salt and pepper to taste seasoning
Directions
- 1Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
- 2Add ground beef to the pot and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- 3Stir in chili powder and cumin, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 4Add crushed tomatoes, all three beans, and beef broth to the pot. Stir well to combine.
- 5Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 6Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. Serve hot, optionally topped with sour cream, cheese, or fresh cilantro.
