Tiramisu
A classic Italian dessert with creamy mascarpone and coffee-soaked ladyfingers topped with cocoa powder.

Ingredients
- •6 egg yolks
- •3/4 cup granulated sugar
- •1 1/3 cups mascarpone cheese
- •1 cup heavy cream
- •2 cups strong brewed coffee, cooled
- •3 tablespoons coffee liqueur or rum
- •40 ladyfinger cookies
- •2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Directions
- 1Whisk egg yolks and sugar together over a double boiler until pale and warm, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- 2Fold mascarpone cheese into the cooled egg mixture until smooth and combined.
- 3In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks and gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
- 4Combine cooled coffee and liqueur in a shallow dish. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for 1-2 seconds and arrange in a single layer in a 9x13 inch dish.
- 5Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfinger layer.
- 6Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining cream.
- 7Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- 8Dust generously with cocoa powder just before serving.
