Ingredients

  • •1 pound fresh or frozen cheese tortellini
  • •6 tablespoons butter
  • •4 cloves garlic, minced
  • •1 cup heavy cream
  • •1 cup whole milk
  • •1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • •1/2 teaspoon salt
  • •1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • •1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • •2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

  1. 1Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook tortellini according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  2. 2Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat and sauté garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. 3Pour in heavy cream and milk, stirring occasionally until the mixture begins to simmer.
  4. 4Reduce heat to low and slowly whisk in Parmesan cheese until fully melted and smooth.
  5. 5Season sauce with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, stirring well.
  6. 6Add cooked tortellini to the sauce and gently toss to coat evenly.
  7. 7Transfer to serving bowls, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

💡 Tortellini Alfredo thickens rapidly because stuffed pasta carries extra starch. Keep a little pasta water nearby to loosen the sauce just before serving.
