Ingredients
- •400 g tteok
- •2 tbsp gochujang
- •1 tbsp ketchup
- •1 tbsp honey
- •1 tsp sesame oil
Directions
- 1Soak the tteok in hot water for five minutes until pliable, then drain them well.
- 2Thread four or five onto each skewer, pushed close together.
- 3Heat a little oil in a wide pan and lay the skewers down.
- 4Cook five minutes, turning, until blistered and browned in patches.
- 5Mix the gochujang, ketchup, honey and sesame oil into a glaze.
- 6Brush it over the skewers and cook two minutes more until it darkens and clings.
💡 Glaze at the end. Sugar and gochujang burn fast, and a skewer glazed from the start is black before the tteok has blistered.
