Turkey and Sweet Potato Skillet

Ingredients
- •1 lb ground turkey
- •2 medium sweet potatoes, diced
- •1 medium onion, diced
- •2 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 cup chicken broth
- •2 tablespoons maple syrup
- •1 teaspoon dried sage
- •1 teaspoon salt
- •1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- •2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
- 1Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the ground turkey, breaking it apart as it cooks for about 5 minutes.
- 2Add diced onion and cook for 2 minutes until softened, then stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- 3Add diced sweet potatoes, chicken broth, maple syrup, sage, salt, and pepper to the skillet.
- 4Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium and cook covered for 12-15 minutes until sweet potatoes are tender.
- 5Uncover and cook for an additional 2 minutes to reduce any excess liquid, then serve immediately.
