Turkey Burger with Sweet Potato Fries

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 lbs sweet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 4 hamburger buns

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 425°F. Cut sweet potatoes into fries, toss with 1 tbsp olive oil, paprika, salt and pepper, then spread on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  2. 2While fries cook, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, diced onion, salt, and pepper in a bowl and form into 4 patties.
  3. 3Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook turkey burgers for 5-6 minutes per side until cooked through.
  4. 4Toast the hamburger buns in the skillet or oven for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.
  5. 5Assemble burgers on toasted buns with your desired toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and condiments, then serve immediately with hot sweet potato fries.
