Turkey Chili with Beans

Ingredients
- •2 tablespoons olive oil
- •1.5 pounds ground turkey
- •1 large onion, diced
- •3 cloves garlic, minced
- •2 tablespoons chili powder
- •1 tablespoon cumin
- •1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- •2 cans (15 ounces each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- •1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
- •1 cup chicken broth
- •1 teaspoon salt
- •½ teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- 1Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- 2Add diced onion and cook for 3 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic, chili powder, and cumin, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 3Pour in crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, and chicken broth. Stir well to combine.
- 4Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 5Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot with desired toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or green onions.
