Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 12 oz whole wheat pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

  1. 1Combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. 2Roll mixture into 16-20 meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  3. 3Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown meatballs for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until golden on all sides.
  4. 4Pour marinara sauce over meatballs, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 12-15 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
  5. 5While meatballs cook, prepare pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  6. 6Divide pasta among plates, top with meatballs and sauce, and serve with extra Parmesan if desired.
