Ingredients

  • •1 cup all-purpose flour
  • •1/2 cup butter, softened
  • •1/3 cup brown sugar
  • •2 cups pecan halves
  • •1 cup caramel bits
  • •1/4 cup butter
  • •2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • •1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • •2 teaspoons butter

Directions

  1. 1Mix flour, softened butter, and brown sugar; press into a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. 2Bake crust at 350°F for 10 minutes until light golden.
  3. 3Sprinkle pecans evenly over crust.
  4. 4Heat caramel bits, 1/4 cup butter, and cream over medium heat until melted; drizzle over pecans.
  5. 5Bake for 10-12 minutes until caramel is bubbly.
  6. 6Melt chocolate chips with 2 teaspoons butter; spread over warm bars.
  7. 7Cool completely before cutting into 24 squares.

💡 Turtle bars slice best after caramel has completely reset around the pecans and chocolate; cutting warm turns the layered filling into sticky streaks.
