Turtle Cookies
Chewy chocolate cookies loaded with pecans and caramel that taste like the classic turtle candy.

Ingredients
- •2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- •1 tsp baking soda
- •1 tsp salt
- •1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- •3/4 cup granulated sugar
- •3/4 cup brown sugar
- •2 large eggs
- •2 tsp vanilla extract
- •2 cups chocolate chips
- •1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- •24 caramel candies, unwrapped
Directions
- 1Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- 2Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- 3Cream butter and both sugars until fluffy, then beat in eggs and vanilla.
- 4Fold flour mixture into wet ingredients, then stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
- 5Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets, press a caramel into the center of each, and top with more dough to partially cover.
- 6Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown.
- 7Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
