Đậu Hũ Chiên Sả (Vietnamese Lemongrass Tofu)

Ingredients

  • 24 oz firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 3 tbsp lemongrass, finely minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 fresh chili, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions

  1. 1Pat the pressed tofu very dry.
  2. 2Heat vegetable oil and brown the tofu for 7–8 minutes, turning occasionally.
  3. 3Transfer the tofu to a plate.
  4. 4Cook lemongrass, garlic, and chili for 1 minute.
  5. 5Add soy sauce and sugar, then return the tofu.
  6. 6Toss for 2 minutes until the tofu is coated and fragrant.

💡 Dry tofu browns faster and absorbs less oil, giving the dish better texture.
