Virgin Mojito

Virgin Mojito

Bright, minty, and refreshingly fizzy, this alcohol-free mojito is the ultimate crowd-pleasing mocktail for backyard gatherings or any night you want something special without the spirits.

⏱ 10 minServes 4Cuban

Ingredients

  • 1 cup loosely packed fresh mint leaves, plus sprigs for garnish
  • ½ cup fresh lime juice (about 4 limes)
  • 4 tbsp granulated sugar or simple syrup
  • 3 cups cold sparkling water or club soda
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 4 lime slices, for garnish

Directions

  1. 1Divide mint leaves and sugar evenly among 4 glasses.
  2. 2Muddle the mint and sugar together firmly with a muddler or the back of a spoon until the mint is fragrant and bruised.
  3. 3Pour 2 tbsp of fresh lime juice into each glass and stir to dissolve the sugar.
  4. 4Fill each glass generously with ice cubes.
  5. 5Top each glass with ¾ cup of cold sparkling water and stir gently once to combine.
  6. 6Garnish each glass with a fresh mint sprig and a lime slice and serve immediately.

💡 For a quicker build, swap granulated sugar for store-bought simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water, stirred until dissolved) — most major Canadian grocery stores carry it near the cocktail mixers. Add a splash of coconut water in place of some sparkling water for a tropical twist.
