Wonton Soup

Delicate pork-filled wontons swimming in a savory, aromatic broth with fresh vegetables and green onions.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups bok choy, chopped
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper

Directions

  1. 1Mix ground pork with soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic in a bowl.
  2. 2Place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper, wet the edges with water, fold into a triangle, then bring corners together.
  3. 3Bring chicken broth to a boil in a large pot.
  4. 4Add wontons to boiling broth and stir gently. Cook for 5-7 minutes until wontons float to the surface.
  5. 5Add bok choy and white pepper, simmer for 2-3 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  6. 6Ladle soup into bowls and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
