Ingredients

  • 8 oz ramen or yakisoba noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 1 cup cabbage, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons bonito flakes
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Directions

  1. 1Cook the noodles according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
  2. 2Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and rice vinegar in a small bowl to create the yakisoba sauce.
  3. 3Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. 4Add onion, carrot, and cabbage to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
  5. 5Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss everything together for 2 minutes.
  6. 6Pour the yakisoba sauce over the noodles and vegetables, mixing thoroughly for 2-3 minutes until well coated and noodles are slightly crispy.
  7. 7Transfer to serving plates and top with bonito flakes and sesame seeds before serving.
